Just like standard EUR transfers, you can use your Monflo IBAN to send and receive funds.
You can transfer money from your Monflo IBAN to any other IBAN using the recipient’s details, and others can send money directly to your Monflo account via your IBAN.
We support SEPA Instant, meaning EUR withdrawals typically arrive within minutes—provided the receiving bank also supports SEPA Instant.
While most European payment service providers are required to support SEPA Instant for incoming transactions as of January 2025, some are still completing full implementation. If you’re unsure whether your provider supports SEPA Instant, check their website or app. If SEPA Instant is unavailable or additional conditions apply, transfers may take up to five business days.
Why does your Monflo IBAN look different?
Your IBAN may appear unfamiliar compared to Dutch banks like ABN AMRO or ING because Monflo uses an IBAN from a partner bank in Estonia—an EU member state with a slightly different IBAN structure.
Example of an Estonian IBAN: EE43 7777 0001 2345 6789
Breakdown:
- Country Code (EE): Account is held in Estonia
- Check Digits (43): Validates the IBAN format
- Bank Code (7777): Identifies the bank (e.g., LHV Pank)
- Account Number (0001 2345 6789): Unique account identifier
Unlike some Dutch banks that include letters, Estonian IBANs use only digits—just a stylistic difference.
How to verify an IBAN:
You can confirm any IBAN using free online tools such as IBAN Checkers.
